Strategic Market Lead / Squad Coordinator (Project Management Focus)
Location: Prague preferred / Remote within Europe

Role Overview

  • Lead Playmobil’s e-commerce growth and market execution across the French and Spanish markets.

  • Act as the strategic and operational connector between the Venture team and local stakeholders in France and Spain.

  • Drive regional growth by translating global business objectives into localized, high-impact market initiatives.

  • Coordinate a dedicated cross-functional squad focused on commercial performance, localization, and customer engagement.

  • Ensure both markets receive tailored strategies while maintaining alignment with the broader global e-commerce roadmap.

Key Responsibilities

Market Strategy & Commercial Ownership

  • Develop and execute localized e-commerce strategies for the French and Spanish markets.

  • Identify and lead regional growth initiatives, campaigns, and promotional opportunities tailored to local customer behavior and retail trends.

  • Contribute to regional sales forecasting, performance tracking, and commercial planning.

  • Adapt campaigns and promotional calendars to local market specifics, including:

    • Seasonal campaigns

    • Local shopping peaks

    • Market-specific holidays and cultural moments

    • Retail and marketplace opportunities

  • Ensure local relevance in messaging, product positioning, and customer experience.

Squad Coordination & Project Leadership

  • Lead a cross-functional squad consisting of specialists in:

    • Performance Marketing

    • CRM

    • Platform / Website

    • Creative

    • Data & Analytics

  • Own and prioritize the regional “market backlog” to maximize business impact and execution efficiency.

  • Operate as a strategic coordinator and project lead rather than a direct people manager.

  • Align squad activities with commercial priorities, timelines, and regional objectives.

  • Collaborate closely with creative and CRM teams to ensure local tone of voice and cultural relevance for France and Spain.

Stakeholder Management

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders in France and Spain.

  • Represent the Venture team in regional discussions, planning sessions, and business reviews.

  • Present insights, forecasts, opportunities, and market feedback to senior leadership and cross-functional teams.

  • Collaborate with other market leads to ensure alignment across the wider global e-commerce organization while advocating for local priorities.

Ideal Candidate Profile

Required Experience & Skills

  • Strong experience in e-commerce, digital marketing, or online retail within the French and/or Spanish markets.

  • Deep understanding of:

    • Local consumer behavior

    • E-commerce ecosystems and marketplaces

    • Promotional cycles and regional buying patterns

    • CRM and performance marketing fundamentals

  • Experience coordinating cross-functional teams and driving initiatives through influence and prioritization.

  • Ability to combine strategic thinking with operational execution in a fast-paced environment.

  • Fluent English required; French and/or Spanish strongly preferred.

Soft Skills

  • Strong communicator with excellent stakeholder management skills.

  • Commercially driven with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.

  • Highly organized and capable of managing multiple priorities simultaneously.

  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to align global strategy with local market needs.

  • Autonomous, proactive, and solution-oriented.

Working Model & Compensation

  • Standard European working hours.

  • Flexible setup with preference for freelance collaboration; full-time employment also possible.

  • Compensation competitive and based on location and experience.

  • Prague-based candidates preferred, with flexibility for remote candidates within Europe.
